Reinforcing Cyber ResilienceTullamore Session Builds on Earlier Momentum

Returning to the Midlands Skills Centre on August 19th, the Network this time hosted a cybersecurity session reinforcing the theme of preparedness and resilience. With several attendees having also participated in the June and May events, the discussion deepened – this time tackling topics like cyber insurance, response plans, and team training.

Once again, Detective Fran Hoban and The National Cyber Security Centre of Ireland delivered grounded advice.

Orla Martin, LEO (Offaly) was on hand to show how they can help fund on cybersecurity issues and local security experts NIC shared advices and their experience in the field.

The audience questions at the end reflected the growing awareness across the region of not just how cybersecurity is now a necessity but also how the looming giant of AI is set to change things even more, as the two seem to fit hand in glove.

Networking was strong, and there was plenty of discussion in how attendees think about cybersecurity as part of day-to-day operations.
